What is Shop 2 Support PRUFC?
Shop 2 Support has been set up to raise funds for the Pocklington Rugby Forward Appeal. It allows members, families and friends to contribute towards the appeal through their normal online purchasing activities. You still shop directly with each retailer as you would normally, but you use the links from shop2supportprufc.co.uk to access the retailer site.
Each and every eventual purchase on the retailer’s site will generate a cash back donation, 100% of which will go towards the Pocklington Rugby Forward Appeal.
For example, spending £25 with Amazon will result in a donation of £1.25 going towards the Appeal.
You can shop with any retailer on this web-site, more retailers are being added all the time.
If you ALREADY shop online, why not help the appeal at no extra cost from purchases you would make anyway.
Will I pay anything extra?
No. You pay the same prices exactly as if you visited each retailer's website directly. Using our service will not cost you a penny more than you would pay normally.
What sort of things can I buy?
There are lots of major department stores such as Boots, Marks and Spencer, Wickes, Amazon, Play, Comet, Dixons and Currys. There are also loads of niche online retailers selling a wide range of gifts, gadgets and computer goods. Remember major purchases such as Fridges, Televisions, Furniture, Beds and Holidays will result in a significant contribution towards the appeal. Even smaller purchases like books, CDs and computer games will all add up in the long run.
How much can we raise?
From 2.5 to 15% of every purchase is donated, depending on which retailer you select and what you buy. Example
There are over 600 members of the club. If every member passed this site’s details to 5 friends who each then spent £100 online between now and Christmas with an average 5% referral fee, this would raise an amazing £15,000 for the club. All by making purchases that would have happened anyway.
Of course all of this depends on getting the word out and remembering to use the site before making an online purchase.
Am I dealing with the retailer or with PRUFC?
You still deal directly with each retailer. A code in the link tells the retailer that you have been referred from this site so that they know where to send the referral fee to.
