Making it Happen
Pocklington Rugby Forward – The Appeal The proposal will only become reality if a large number of individuals and organizations are prepared to work and subscribe towards it. The plans outlined on this page will cost £250,000. A number of statutory bodies and sponsors have indicated initial support, but the club will have to raise the majority of the funds itself. All sections of the club and all the individual teams will be required to be involved in the appeal and the fundraising; and we must also ensure we continue to meet the current demands for finance and sponsorship need to run the club year on year. £250,000 is a daunting target, but initial discussions indicate that there is the commitment and enthusiasm within our ranks to make it happen. Many other local sporting organizations have attempted and achieved similar appeals in recent years. This is the first time Pocklington RUFC has launched an appeal for support since the 1930s, and is the first major development of the facilities for 20 years. If we raise more than our target, or additional outside funding is accessed, then we will look to implement further developments to improve the club. All monies raised will be held in a separate development account. Regular updates on the progress of the appeal and the development plan will b e given through newsletters and via the club website at www.pocklingtonrufc.co.uk
